Territorial Network for Inclusion

ANMIC Südtirol/Alto Adige (South Tyrol) is taking part in INTRECCI – Rete territoriale per l’inclusione (Territorial Network for Inclusion), a project funded by the Italian Ministry for Disabilities (Ministero per le Disabilità) that launched on 11 May. Its aim is to build and strengthen, across the areas involved, a lasting network of services, skills and relationships supporting people with disabilities, their families and their communities.

Promoted by ANMIC, with ANMIC Pisa as the lead partner, the project brings together several of the association’s territorial offices – including ANMIC Alto Adige – acting as local points of reference for listening, guidance and advocacy. The person is always at the centre: their needs, their aspirations and their right to take full part in social life.

INTRECCI offers a support model based on listening, guidance and the shared design of personalised pathways, drawing on the contribution of associations, local bodies, families, schools and social and health services. Planned activities include the creation of territorial Inclusion Hubs as places of welcome, information and support; assistance in developing the Life Project (Progetto di Vita); guidance, counselling and support for families; participatory workshops and co-design processes; and training for professionals, volunteers, institutions and local stakeholders.

Particular attention is given to fostering a culture of inclusion that does not stop at meeting a single need, but creates relationships, opportunities and tools able to support people with disabilities across the different areas of daily life: family, school, work, community and personal autonomy.

The project also seeks to strengthen cooperation between public and private actors across the territory, encouraging the exchange of good practices, the definition of shared pathways and the creation of local support networks, so that the protection and promotion of the rights of people with disabilities becomes more effective and more continuous.

For ANMIC Südtirol/Alto Adige, INTRECCI is an important opportunity to strengthen its role as a local point of reference for listening, guidance and advocacy, supporting individuals and families along genuinely personalised pathways, in line with the principles of self-determination, participation and full social inclusion.
